Description of WorkSalary Grade: GN06 Salary Range: 31,200.00 to 48,058.00Anticipated Vacancy: Position is expected to be available on 12/03/21This position provides administrative support to the Administrative Services Manager at Greene Correctional Institution. This position is responsible for performing various office duties including communicating messages, typing memorandums, generic business letters and related correspondence, various forms and reports, spreadsheets, handling email correspondence, maintaining paper and electronic files for a variety of records and documents, managing inventory, special projects, time entry of timesheets using the BEACON System, and other administrative duties as assigned. This position supervises two Accounting Clerks in their daily work. Monitors contracts, timesheets, and payment of invoices for travel nurses and temporary staff. Handles confidential and sensitive information for inclusion in correspondence and personnel related issues as assigned. Must be able to plan work accordingly, understand directives, and carry out both oral and written instructions. Effectively communicate with other staff and members of the general public in verbal and written form and by using existing communication systems to covey and/or obtain information, instruction and direction. Work under occasional stressful conditions in meeting deadlines. Input and comprehend computer generated data. Review completed task to ensure accuracy and integrity of information. Be able to navigate in OPUS, Inmate Banking System (IBS), E-Procurement, the Fixed Asset Tracking System (FAT) and BEACON.
