Job Description:
The Greer Group is hiring Maintenance Technician's for our
client located in Oxford, NC! We are seeking skilled and dedicated
Maintenance Technician's to join our manufacturing client in
Oxford, NC! The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring
the smooth operation of facilities through effective maintenance
and repair of equipment and systems. This role requires a proactive
individual with strong technical skills, a commitment to customer
service, and the ability to work both independently and as part of
a team! Temp to Hire $28.00 -$32.00 Day Shift: 6:00 am-4:00 pm
(Monday-Thursday) Night Shift: 8:00 pm-6:00 pm (Sunday-Wednesday)
Responsibilities: Follow lockout/tagout procedures to maintain
equipment safely. Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical
equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on
motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems and production machines;
following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacture’s
instructions and engineering specifications; troubleshooting
malfunctions. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical
devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision
measuring and testing instruments. Removes defective parts by
dismantling devices; using hoists, hand tools and power tools;
examining form and texture parts. Determines changes in dimensional
requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using calipers,
micrometers and other measuring instruments. Adjusts functional
parts of devices and controls instruments by using hand tools,
levels, plumb bobs and straightedges. Controls downtime by
informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance
techniques; monitoring compliance. Fabricates repair parts by using
machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Maintains equipment,
parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine
inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts and supplies.
Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as
needed to accomplish job results. Provides mechanical maintenance
information by answering questions and requests. Shaft alignment,
gear setup and precision timing of complex gear systems.
Requirements: Self-motivated with ability to work with limited
supervision High-energy individual with a strong work ethic High
school diploma or equivalent required Sit, walk or stand (concrete
flooring and changing temperatures) Be able to work closely with
coworkers Knowledge of equipment maintenance. Ability to work in a
team environment. Time management, prioritization and multi-tasking
skills. Good communication, interpersonal skills. Ability to read
and understand safety rules and regulations. Good problem solving
ability. Intermediate computer skills. 5 years general maintenance
experience required. Allen Bradley Or any equivalent combination of
education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform
the key responsibilities of this position. Must have a HS GED Must
pass a background check and drug screen
