Lead Engineer

Job Description:

We have an immediate need for a Lead Engineer in Aurora, NC.
Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering a strong plus.
Provide expert competence in mechanical, piping, and/or structural engineering best practices.
Prepare Front-End Loading (FEL) or feasibility studies is a plus.
Ability to walkdown projects with a general knowledge of basic engineering principles (mechanical systems, piping, vessels, tanks and their components or assemblies).
Ability to review and understand specifications and manage work that can be used for material estimates.
Capacity for reading and redlining Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
Tank engineering competency and familiarity with API standards a plus.
Planning and executing strategies for completing projects on time.
Proposing and managing budgets for projects.
Allocate resources to produce deliverables within the required project scope, cost, and quality.
Actively coordinate project designs with all other technical disciplines.
Monitor the status of design projects and ensure change management is effectively executed within team.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus.

Autodesk Navisworks -

Term: 6 month contract to direct hire
Salary: $60.00 - $67.00 per hour (depending on experience)
