Title: Crestron Audio Visual (AV) Programmer Location: Remote Compensation: $70,000-$90,000 Department: Operations Reports To: Director of Client Success Position purpose and objective: This position is responsible and accountable for the programming of audio-visual systems according to company standards for Commercial AV Clients. This position reports to the Director of Client Success and is a member of the Design and Engineering team supporting the mission and goals of a “Best in Class” sales and AV integration program. As an operational member of a dynamic audio-visual integration operation, the Crestron AV Programmer will be responsible for developing AV Control Code, GUI, and DSP configurations. After initial code development, travel to customers' sites is required to configure devices, load control code, test and commission and close-out projects in compliance with the company's policies and procedures, including quality, safety, environmental, and business practices. Essential job functions, duties and responsibilities: This position is responsible for performing the on-site programming of audio-visual systems on job site locations with minimal supervision and oversight. This position requires a variety of duties including but not limited to: Develop, test, and deploy custom Crestron control system programs for audio, video, lighting, and environmental systems in higher education settings Building touch panel designs that are aesthetically pleasing and designed for easy navigation of system functions Configuring and setting up DSP to meet design requirements and scope of work Commissioning and testing on-site and off-site systems Communicating with sales and operations to keep project goals in alignment with customer expectations and scope of work Cultivating a common purpose and teamwork among various company units and ensuring timely and effective communication with those units including Operations, Sales, Design, Accounting, Procurement and Purchasing Troubleshooting systems remotely with field technicians Performing other duties as assigned Knowledge, skills and abilities required: Crestron Certified Programmer required . At least one year AV programming experience (or >10 instances of programming and commissioning rooms to completion) with an AV integration firm or in-house AV department Proficient with Crestron SIMPL and VT Pro-E Familiar with Extron Global Configurator Plus/Pro Experience working with customer IT departments Familiarity in installation, wiring and rack building Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills Ability to make important decisions under tight timelines and in a fast-paced environment Experience in providing end user training Effective troubleshooting and time management skills Ability to travel on regular/constant basis and often on short notice with long/unusual work hours Successfully complete criminal background check, motor vehicle review and drug test prior to start Professional, friendly and approachable Valid driver's license with less than two citations in last two years and reliable transportation Ability to lift 25 pounds and complete ladder, lift and other safety training Preferred skills and experiences: AV industry certifications such as AVIXA CTS and CTS-I Audio DSP certifications such as Biamp and Q-SYS Experience with setting up and programming VTC systems Comfortable with frequent and direct written communication A desire to progress in job knowledge and qualifications A keen attention to detail and an ability to keep a cool head when placed in stressful situations Success Factors: The personal characteristics that make an individual successful in this industry include: Ability to understand and follow written and verbal direction Shows initiative and is proactive, dependable and productive to complete tasks effectively and efficiently A professional attitude focusing on the success of Inter Technologies Corporation with a high degree of attention to detail An understanding that every installation is the most important Works well with others, including taking direction and offering/receiving constructive feedback A professional and respectful attitude in dealing with others and adjusting to varied job assignments and tasks An aptitude toward time and resource management A desire to progress in job knowledge and qualifications and take on new responsibilities A desire to help others accomplish tasks and achieve goals Reporting to job locations on time and in appropriate work attire/PPE Job offer consists of a competitive salary and benefits package that includes: Paid vacation and sick pay Medical coverage options: health, vision and dental Generous daily per diem while traveling to cover meals and non-reimbursable incidentals In-house travel team to make all work-related travel arrangements including air flights, ground transportation and lodging all paid through company accounts 401k program after one year of service and with employer match after one year of enrollment Tool kit, uniform shirt, PPE and a stipend per paycheck as a personal cell phone allowance Job Type: Full-time Location: Remote Pay: $70,000 - $90,000 yearly salary PI1e81276c5364-37456-37911000
