Academic/Faculty/Research opening in Greenville, North Carolina.
The Department of Family Medicine is one of 11 clinical departments
at East Carolina University's Brody School of Medicine. The
Department of Family Medicine at ECU is a nationally recognized
leader in Family Medicine education. Located in a 120,000 sq. ft.
facility, the department provides a wide variety of comprehensive
primary care services for all age groups to include: geriatrics,
sports medicine, procedural skills, obstetrical care, nutrition
services, counseling, and psychological support in an integrated
care model. ECU Health Medical Center is the flagship hospital for
ECU Health and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School
of Medicine at East Carolina University. The mission of the
Geriatrics Division is to care for our older population and prepare
all levels of learners for the challenges of caring for older

Opportunity Highlights include:
- Seeking an innovative, enthusiastic leader who is board
certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with additional
qualifications in Geriatrics
- Fixed Term or Tenure Track faculty position at the rank/title
of Clinical Assistant Professor Level or higher.
- Serve as a member of the department s senior leadership team
and set the course for the Geriatrics Division
- Patient care in both the ambulatory geriatric clinic and
inpatient settings, as well as one continuing care retirement
community with skilled care beds
- Strong emphasis on teaching, mentoring, advising, supervision
of residents, fellows, medical students, and other learners in
Geriatrics
