Position SummaryThe Laboratory Manager is a member of the hospital management staff.

As the Laboratory Manager, you will be required to:

• Manage the daily activities in the delivery of quality patient care within the laboratory
  • Administer policies and manages personnel within areas of expertise daily
    • Maintain adequate inventories of supplies and reagents to perform testing
      • Assure adequate equipment is available, operational and performance monitored
        • Monitor current accreditation standards to ensure department compliance with all regulatory agencies. (CAP, JCAHO, NCCLS, CLIA, OSHA, Federal Regulation, AABB, etc)
          • Develop, plan, and audit departmental goals and budgets
            • Monitor and serve as a resource for activities related to physical plant, data processing, and educational training of students and the laboratoryMinimum Requirements
              • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science
                • Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Science ASCP, AMT, HEW, or equivalent certification is required
                  • A minimum of three (3) years of clinical laboratory experience is requiredPreferred:
                    • Previous supervisory, management experienceOther Information
                      • 40 hours a week
                        • Monday - Friday (8 am - 5 pm)
                          • Will be required to work Nights and Weekends, as needed
