The Department of Family Medicine is one of the founding departments at East Carolina University's Brody School of Medicine. ECU Physicians is the faculty practice plan for the Brody School of Medicine. We offer the region's most comprehensive care for every stage of life and are comprised of more than 500 physicians and advanced practitioners - across 37 specialties - throughout eastern North Carolina. The Department of Family Medicine at ECU is a nationally recognized leader in Family Medicine education. Located in a 120,000 sq. ft. facility, the department provides a wide variety of comprehensive primary care services for all age groups to include: geriatrics, sports medicine, procedural skills, obstetrical care, nutrition services, counseling, and psychological support in an integrated care model. ECU Health Medical Center is the flagship hospital for ECU Health and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, providing services to more than 1.4 million people in 29 counties.   • Seeking an innovative, enthusiastic leader who is board certified in Family Medicine
  • Fixed Term or Tenure Track faculty position at the rank/title of Clinical Assistant Professor Level or higher.
  • Serve as a member of the department s senior leadership team and set the course for the Medical Student Education Division
  • Patient care in both the ambulatory and inpatient setting
  • Strong emphasis on teaching, mentoring, advising, supervision of residents, medical students, and other learners
  • Opportunities to develop administrative and scholarship skills
  • Clinical practice experience with OB skills preferred

    The School of Medicine provides accredited education programs for medical students, residents and fellows, doctoral students in the basic medical sciences, and practicing physicians.
