Position Overview This position is responsible for the overall performance of formulation development and CTM manufacturing. This role will build an effective team to work together and across the organization to ensure requirements are meet and/or exceeded. Key Responsibility Areas * Continuous Improvement: Actively promote a continuous improvement mindset to drive value propositions in manufacturing, quality batch record reviews and revenue recognition * People Development: Ensure the career growth of team members by building systems and processes to ensure ongoing learning and development * People Leadership: Lead in the development of a culture and supporting systems to drive open communication, participate in intra/inter-departmental idea sharing to build engaged teams; advance and model Mayne Pharma values and leadership commitments; assure the highest levels of quality, safety, compliance and integrity are adhered to in all interactions * Quality Management and Oversight: Provide leadership and day-to-day management of quality, safety and compliance activities including facilitation of new compound introductions in the facility; oversight of deviations, CAPAs and complaints Specific Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Participate in and lead Quality Management Review * Provide client audit/technical SME support to Quality Assurance audit team for assigned projects * Provide technical leadership and oversight of formulation and process development activities * Responsible for GMP compliance in all aspects of batch manufacturing and documentation * Provide input to Client Services for new business development, including service estimate generation, assignment deadlines, and revenue recognition for group activities * Assist with hiring, training, and managing employees in the development area * Establish policies and processes while ensuring alignment with leadership * Participate in the general management of the department and company * Provide employees with general supervision as well as development and learning opportunities to promote career growth * Provide technical leadership and collaboration to sales and business development team through partnerships with customers and potential customers to agree on development approaches and scope of work Key Competencies/Requirements * Accountability: Assume responsibility for successfully accomplishing work objectives and delivering business results; setting high standards of performance for self and others * Agility: Respond positively to change, embracing and using new practices or values to accomplish goals and solve problems * Creativity: Explore and advances opportunities to develop novel solutions and approaches to the improvement of processes and services * Empowerment: Find opportunities to improve and extend their contribution to the organization and their teammates * Integrity: Demonstrate the highest commitment to integrity and showing respect for and value all individuals for their diverse backgrounds, experiences, styles, approaches and ideas * Passion: Evidence passion for the organization, our people, and the difference we make daily in improving the lives and health of people * Conflict Resolution: Bring substantial conflicts and disagreements into the open and attempt to manage them collaboratively, building consensus, keeping the best interests of the organization in mind, not only one's own interest * Team Development: Foster team environment, invest in team members and peers by inclusion and listening, recognizing employees effectively, and demonstrating trust * Technical Acumen: Develop deep understanding of pharmaceutical products and processes and can act as a technical expert in leading and supporting these activities Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, or related field with nine or more years of experience in pharmaceutical development * Master's degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutics, Industrial Pharmacy, or related field with seven or more years of experience in pharmaceutical development * D. in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutics, Industrial Pharmacy, or related field with five or more years of experience in pharmaceutical development Physical Requirements * Some work with hazardous chemicals and other active chemical ingredients * Position requires the capacity to handle and manipulate objects using hands and arms General Statement Mayne Pharma is an equal opportunity employer.
