We value inclusion, respect and equality for the ECU community. Job Duties The Assistant Director of Wellness reports to the Associate Director of Wellness and Fitness Programs. The primary purpose of this job is to coordinate wellness promotion activities and organize campus outreach programming and awareness events related to wellness education. Educational topics include but are not limited to: sexuality, alcohol and drug abuse education, tobacco use prevention, men/women's health, nutrition, eating disorders/body image, mental health and stress management. The person in this position will coordinate the planning, implementation and evaluation of the Wellness Passport Program and the Peer Health Education Program within ECU Campus Wellness, which includes advising the Healthy PIRATES student organization. The Assistant Director will coordinate educational and collaborative efforts across campus related to the Eight Dimensions of Wellness. Additionally, the person in this position will perform other duties as necessary for the advancement of Wellness efforts across the University. The Assistant Director will assist with the supervision and operations of the Wellness and Fitness staff. Minimum Education/Experience A Master's degree in Health or Wellness related fields, Health and Fitness, Student Personnel Administration or related experiences. Two years of experience with wellness Knowledge of current wellness and learning theories, methods, strategies and tactics. Knowledge of emergency management standards and duties of care for wellness and fitness and educational facilities. Demonstrated ability to supervise student staff. Demonstrated experience with fiscal management of a comprehensive program. Demonstrated ability for written and verbal communication. License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation Red Cross, CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment.
