One of the acute care hospitals is actively seeking a Hospital Surgical Technologist to join their Perioperative Surgical Services team.

The Hospital Surgical Technologist will work at a 200+ bed acute care hospital, joining the perioperative surgical services department. Notable specialized services offered at this hospital include the women’s center, comprehensive cardiovascular programs, surgical services, and the critical care department. The Perioperative Surgical Services department utilizes a family-centered, team-oriented approach. The Hospital Surgical Technologist has the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated medical team of world-class surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists, nurse assistants, registered nurses, central sterile processing technicians, surgical technologists, and other ancillary personnel. With an inpatient and outpatient surgical department, some of the general surgical procedures performed at this hospital include breast surgery, colon surgery, cataract surgery, podiatry surgery, plastic surgery, and neurosurgery. Minimally Invasive robotic-assisted surgery and endoscopic surgeries are also available.
The Hospital Surgical Technologist will join the perioperative surgical team working the day shift. The Hospital Surgical Technologist will primarily assist with surgical operations performed at the hospital. Additionally, the Surgical technologist will prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensure sterile equipment is adequately supplied, prepare patients for surgery, count supplies and surgical instruments throughout the procedure, and ensure a sterile environment is consistently maintained. The Hospital Surgical Technologist must have prior experience working in an operating room that performs an array of general and specialty surgical procedures. Prior scrubbing experience is required. The Surgical Technologist should have their CST, TS-C (NCCT), or equivalent certification.
