ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Medical Center are seeking a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join its Neurocritical Care team. The successful candidate will perform admissions and discharges, histories, physical exams, ongoing patient assessments, daily rounding, and ICU procedures (arterial lines, central lines, and intubation). ECU Health Medical Center is a Joint Commission-certified Comprehensive Stroke Center.

• Supervising physician is an experienced Neurointensivist
  
• Ability to perform ICU procedures

• 24/7 service will include some nights and some weekend shifts
  
• Integrated EMR is EPIC
  
• Large referral network including over 130 ECU Health Physician practices and 9 ECU Health owned hospitals
  
• Established neuroscience team of 9 neurosurgeons including 3 dual-trained cerebrovascular neurosurgeons, an interventional neurologist, inpatient stroke neurologists, neurointensivists, neurologists and a large team of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
  
• Team of 11 dedicated NSICU NP/PA's providing 24/7 coverage
  
  ECU Health's Neuroscience program uses a multidisciplinary approach to provide a range of services to include diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with neurological disorders. The hospital has excellent staff in nursing, radiology, general neurosurgery, endovascular neurosurgery and intervention, neuro-spine surgery, and neurology. The Neuroscience team takes great pride in their patient- and family-centered approach to care, which promotes optimization of patient outcomes.
