We currently have a client in Greenville, NC looking for a Travel RNFA - First Assist RN Registered Nurse!

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling First Assist RN to assist and work alongside a surgeon during preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.Contract Assignment - 13 Weeks (Temporary)Shift: 4x10 DaysRewards: (First Assist RN Benefits)

  • AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers
  • BSN from accredited nursing program, and proper licensure
  • Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients, and families
  • Certification as a First Assist RN, certification in perioperative nursing
  • Operating room experience required

    • Assist surgeon in general and specialized surgeries
    • Prepare patients for surgery
    • Provide patient care and support
    • Administer medications
    • Practice surgical procedures such as controlling bleeding and suturing incisions, draping, providing exposure, and handling tissue
    • Prepare all necessary supplies
    • Position and prepare the patient on the operating table
    • Monitor the patient's vital signs and heart rate
    • Educate patient and family on operation and aftercare
    • Perform post-operative assessments and monitoring
    • Perform CPR or emergency measures if required
    • All other responsibilities as needed
