intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Many of our
individuals are nonverbal or have limited communication, requiring
nurses to develop keen observational skills and collaborate closely

NCAs a nurse with RHA will have an opportunity to practice holistic
nursing and to positively impact the lives of others by providing
healthcare oversight and monitoring for the people we serve.Job
ResponsibilitiesProvide holistic nursing care to individuals with
intellectual and developmental disabilitiesObserve, assess, and
evaluate the health needs or the people we supportProvide health
related training to unlicensed personnelTeach the people we serve
to monitor their health and provide medication administration
training to the people we serve when appropriateAdminister
medications and treatments or assist the person supported with
medication administrationAssist with ensuring preventative and
routine medical appointments are scheduledConduct medication
closest assessmentsPerform quality assurance checks and
observations to ensure unlicensed personnel are performing health
related tasks as assignedCollect health related dataConduct nursing
assessmentsObserve for and report any abnormal health related
findings to the physicianCommunicate with physicians, pharmacies,
medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary TeamAdvocate for the
people supported and assist with developing community supports to
promote optimal health for the people
supportedRequirementsGraduation from an accredited registered nurse
programBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, but not
requiredCurrent nursing license with no restrictions to practice
nursing.Must be able to communicate effectively with
Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and
their familiesMust be able to work independently, be organized, and
possess the ability to prioritize work tasksCurrent CPR
Certification or eligibility to obtain certificationWhy Should You

stoop. Must be able to regularly stand and walk. Must be able to
demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level. Vision
requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral
