  • Deliver primary care and minor urgent care services to adult inmates
  • Work collaboratively with on-site medical staff and correctional personnel
  • Utilize the HERO EMR system for documentation and patient management
  • Maintain compliance with institutional and state healthcare regulationsRequirements
    • Licensure: Must hold an active and unrestricted North Carolina license (no exceptions)
    • Certifications: BLS and DEA required
    • Experience: Minimum of 1 year; preference for candidates with urgent care, emergency room, or extensive primary care experienceAdditional Details
      • Patient Volume: 8-10 patients per day
      • EMR System: HERO
      • On-call/Callback: Not required
      • Interview Process: Interview with the Medical Director for the Eastern Region; includes a site visit
      • Orientation: 2-3 weeks for Maxim credentialing; -1 week for HERO/computer training
