Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Manager Discipline: RN Duration: 52 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract Nurse Manager - ICU/Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Sanford NC Must-Haves Associate Degree of Nursing is required, Bachelors Degree of Nursing preferred Registered Nurse in North Carolina is required (or compact state) Current AHA BLS Previous manager experience preferred Recent bedside patient care preferred Minimum of two years of current nursing experience Reports to Director of Inpatient Services Job Description Organizes, directs, and supervises the functions of the medical/surgical and ICU units. This includes: policy and procedures are followed; safe staffing levels are maintained; supplies and equipment are at sufficient levels; and efficient patient throughput is managed. Engages in ongoing quality and performance improvement and assures employees complete required annual competencies. Maintains own professional growth and development in nursing leadership and required licensure. Communicates important information to the Director of the unit and the CNO as needed.
