Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: MRI Tech Duration: 4 Month Contract Shift: Day 6x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: - Clinical rotation through a hospital setting during training or one year of experience as an MRI Technologist. - Charge experience preferred. License: - Registered in MRI and CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Certifications: - BLS Required. Must-Have: - Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology. - Completion of an approved course in Magnetic Resonance Imaging desired. - EPIC experience preferred. Description: The position requires working 7 days on and 7 days off. Work hours for MRI are from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. On-call hours for MRI are from 6:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Scheduled weekends will involve performing CT exams from 8:30 AM to 8 PM. Candidates will work 70 hours per week. The first day of the work week is Wednesday, and the last day is the following Tuesday. The workload will be based on a staffing ratio of 1:2 during weekdays and weekends. The role involves performing a variety of exams and invasive procedures using computed tomography. Independent judgment and high-quality skills are essential for this position. Collaboration with the Radiologist is necessary for setting up exams and performing procedures. As an MRI Technologist, the candidate will perform various exams using Magnetic Resonance Imaging principles. Demonstrating independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative is important. Effective communication with the Radiologist in setting protocols is expected. Exceptional MRI skills to obtain the highest quality images for diagnostic interpretation are required.
