Overview: AMBULATORY CARE- (Cardiology) Wilmington, NC- Hybrid
Position PGY2 Ambulatory residency, PGY2 Cardiology Residency or
equivalent experience Potential relocation assistance for qualified
applicants & locations! Will need to come on-site as needed. Novant
Health is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist, to join our ambulatory
pharmacy team, to deliver optimal medication management across all
dimensions of care, every time. Preferred Experience/Credentials
Providing patient care as a Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner (CPP)
or equivalent Direct patient care experience of 1-2 years in
ambulatory setting with emphasis on cardiology, diabetes,
anticoagulation, lipids, HTN, etc. PGY2 Ambulatory residency, PGY2
Cardiology Residency, or equivalent experience Additional onsite
presence may be required to maintain relationships and build
referral volume; patients are primarily seen in a virtual clinic
Current BCPS, BCCP, or BCACP (board certification will be required
post-employment for credentialing) Essential functions include :
Partnership with NHMG providers and clinical staff to provide
remarkable patient care. Medication therapy management and patient
counseling. Promotes high quality, evidence-based, cost-effective
pharmaceutical care. Precepting of residents and students.
Participation in pharmacy and NHMG committees and shared
governance. Have a clear understanding of quality improvement
principles. Contributes to process improvement projects. Supports
the educational and professional development of the department and
system. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in
writing. Demonstrating proficiency with equipment and software.
Onboarding will require in person relationship building with
clinics Additional onsite presence may be required to maintain

opportunities. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree in
Pharmacy, Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC)
Certification, required. Doctorate of Pharmacy, preferred.
Experience: Postgraduate year 1 residency or fellowship OR two
years of experience as a registered pharmacist in health system
pharmacy, required. Licensure/Certification: Current Pharmacy
licensure in appropriate state(s) or must be completed within 30
days of start date by either examination or reciprocity, required.
Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification or other approved
certification must be obtained and continuously maintained within 2
years of start date as applicable to the role; excludes PRN team
members who may not be eligible to take certification exam,
required. Additional Skills (required): Other duties as outlined in
Novant Health and facility specific policies and procedures.
Ability to drive/travel to multiple facilities/locations as needed.
