28501 (North Carolina healthcare jobs) - Unit: 3 West PCU/Tele,
Medicine Acute Care Unit - Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
(RN) contract - Contract Length: 13 weeks - Start Date: November
10, 2025 - End Date: February 9, 2026 - Shift: 3x12-hour night
shifts (19:00 - 07:00) - Hours per Week: 36 - Weekend/Holiday
Coverage: Required (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule) -
Orientation: 24 hours - Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680 -
$1800 Registered Nurse Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of recent
Med/Surg Tele RN experience preferred - Active Registered Nurse
(RN) license (North Carolina or compact state) - BLS and NIH/Stroke
Certification required (must be current) - ACLS and CPI
certifications preferred - Experience with EPIC electronic charting
preferred - Previous charge nurse experience preferred - Ability to
manage a nurse-patient ratio of 1:6 Med/Surg Tele RN
Responsibilities - Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and
geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses, including ESRD,
autoimmune disorders, pneumonia, CHF, GI bleed, diabetes, stroke,
cardiac, and dialysis patients - Facilitate patient admissions,
treatments, and transfers in a fast-paced clinical setting -
Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and
respond to rapid response/code situations - Administer medications,
manage IV therapy, and perform phlebotomy procedures - Provide care
for post-cardiac catheterization and post-MI patients - Perform
wound care, dressing changes, and manage wound vacs - Collaborate
with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including IV, PT, RT,
pharmacy, and social services - Document all patient care
