Job Opportunity – Cardiac Telemetry / PCU Nurse – North Carolina Start Date: February 23, 2026 Location: Wilmington, North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 – 07:15), 36 hours per week, every other weekend required Highlights: 13 to 26 week contract assignments available Progressive care cardiac telemetry unit with 1:6-7 patient ratios Advanced cardiac care including pre/post cardiac cath, cardiac surgery, and complex dysrhythmia management Epic electronic medical record system with 24-hour orientation provided Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and specialized services Opportunity to work with cardiac drips, sheath pulls, and critical telemetry monitoring Requirements: Minimum 2 years of Telemetry AND PCU/Stepdown nursing experience required ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred Current North Carolina or Compact RN license Demonstrated competency in dysrhythmia interpretation and remote cardiac monitoring Experience with pre/post cardiac cath, cardiac surgery, and sheath removal procedures Proficiency in accessing ports, blood product administration, central line management, and PICC line care Experience titrating cardiac drips including Diltiazem and Amiodarone Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start date Flexibility to float to other units as needed based on patient census First-time travelers accepted Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to provide specialized cardiac care in a progressive telemetry environment where you'll manage complex cardiac patients including those with congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and pacemaker/ICD implantations.
