Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Wilmington, NC Agency: Revolution Healthcare Services Pay: $1,884 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401! Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Holding Unit RN – North Carolina Start Date: February 23, 2026 Location: Wilmington, North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week; 13–26 week contracts available; every other weekend required Highlights: Fast-paced ED Holding/Inpatient (EDIP) unit supporting patients awaiting inpatient bed placement Patient ratios: 1:6–1:7 for Medical/Surgical/Telemetry patients or 1:3–1:4 for Progressive Care level patients Float pool position with flexibility to float to Emergency Department and Medical/Surgical areas as needed Epic charting system with 12-hour unit orientation Exposure to diverse adult Medical/Surgical diagnoses including high-acuity cases Contract lengths of 13–26 weeks with maximum 7 days requested time off Requirements: Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry or Progressive Care Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license (required at start) Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Must pass EKG testing prior to start date Strong skills in dysrhythmia interpretation and management, telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, peripheral and PICC line management, insulin and heparin protocols, isolation precautions, respiratory support (CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula), and ABG interpretation Experience with colostomy care, feeding tube management, renal failure, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, phlebotomy, and Rapid Response Teams Preferred: NIHSS certification, IV insulin protocols, pre/post hemodialysis management, port access, central line management, IV starts, CVA care, neuro surgery, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injury, orthopedic trauma, total joint replacements, and wound care/wound vac Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This dynamic Emergency Department Holding position offers registered nurses the chance to make a critical impact on patient care during a pivotal transition period.
