Oncology RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401! Job Opportunity –
Medical-Surgical / Oncology Registered Nurse – North Carolina Start
Date: February 23, 2026 Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule:
Day shift, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required, 13-26 week
assignments available Highlights: Medical-Surgical unit with
oncology patient population requiring chemotherapy administration
skills Target nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 with daily census of 42
beds Epic charting system with 24 hours of paid orientation (2
shifts) Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams,
respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
Opportunity to work with diverse patient diagnoses including cancer
care, sepsis management, insulin drips, and complex medical
conditions Float opportunities to similar units and alternate care
locations based on facility needs Requirements: Active North
Carolina or Compact RN license Minimum 2 years of acute care
nursing experience in an inpatient setting Current BLS
certification required Oncology Nursing Certification (ONS/ONCC)
required – must be able to administer chemotherapy Med/Surg
experience with proficiency in accessing ports, blood product
administration, central line management, PICC line care, wound
care/wound vac, and isolation precautions Experience with heparin
drips, insulin management, surgical drains, chest tubes, and airway
management Willingness to float to similar units and participate in
storm/hurricane team assignments Must pass EKG testing prior to
start date Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions
