Duke Nursing Highlights: - Duke University Health System is designated as a Magnet organization - Nurses from each hospital are consistently recognized each year as North Carolina's Great 100 Nurses. - Duke University Health System was awarded the American Board of Nursing Specialties Award for Nursing Certification Advocacy for being strong advocates of specialty nursing certification. - Duke University Health System has 6000 registered nurses - Quality of Life: Living in the Triangle! - Relocation Assistance (based on eligibility) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Duke Primary Care South Durham $10,000 Commitment Bonus for Eligible Candidates Location: 234 Crooked Creek Parkway, Suite 200, Durham, NC 27713 Hours: 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday What you will do: - Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed by the doctor and maintain records. - Provide direct care to patients under the supervision of a nurse or doctor. - Follow the doctor's orders and nursing care plan for patient care. - Report patient responses to care to a nurse for evaluation and adjustments to the care plan. - Assist other healthcare staff in delivering patient care. - Help doctors and nurses with diagnostic procedures. - Assess nursing care, patient responses, and prioritize nursing tasks. - Help develop and implement policies to ensure patient comfort and safety and participate in creating new policies. - Contribute to maintaining the care environment, including equipment and supplies. - Identify and assist in improving clinical and operational performance. - Assist in managing supplies and equipment, reporting any malfunctions to the charge nurse. - Participate in training programs and help train new staff. - Perform other related duties as needed. What you will need: Education - Work requires graduation from an approved or accredited Practical Nurse program. Experience - No experience required. Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification - Current State of North Carolina LPN licensure or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) required.
