Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Wilmington, NC Agency: Revolution Healthcare Services Pay: $2,457 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position Job Opportunity – Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse – North Carolina Start Date: March 2, 2026 Location: Wilmington, North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend required Highlights: Adult and geriatric general medical/surgical unit with approximately 43-bed census and 1:6-7 nurse-to-patient ratios Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management; SBAR communication standards Charge nurse responsibilities included for night shift travelers; 24 hours of orientation provided Contract lengths of 13-26 weeks accepted; flexibility for 36 or 48-hour weekly schedules Experience with insulin and heparin drips, wound vac dressing changes, and high-flow oxygen required Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and therapy services Requirements: Minimum 2 years of acute care medical/surgical nursing experience Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license (must be active by start date) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Epic EMR experience required; must demonstrate competency with electronic charting Proficiency in managing insulin and heparin drips EKG interpretation skills; must pass EKG testing prior to start date Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) and charge nurse experience preferred First-time travelers accepted; local candidates considered Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers an excellent opportunity to practice in a well-supported acute care environment with a manageable patient population and strong interdisciplinary collaboration. Additional Information: Floating to similar units and alternate care locations may be required based on census Holiday coverage required; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during assignment Assignment to Inclement Weather Team and Storm/Hurricane Team as needed Call responsibility if pre-scheduled shift is put on call Up to 7 days of requested time off may be approved (not during first week or holidays) Navy scrubs required (not provided) 8-10 hours of non-billable modules required pre-start Fatigue policy limits work to maximum 5 consecutive days and 60 hours per week Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS BLS Core Mandatory Part I Core Mandatory Part II (Nursing) Core Mandatory Part III Med Surg Medical Surgical PALS RN - Pharmacology A
