Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Wilmington, North
Carolina, 28401! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours
per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an inpatient
setting. License: Valid state nursing license. Certifications: OCN
certification required prior to start. Must-Have: Experience in
Med/Surg nursing. Ability to administer chemotherapy as needed.
Experience with colostomy care and central line management.
Knowledge of wound care and isolation precautions. Description:
This position requires a skilled registered nurse for a medical
surgical unit. Candidates must have experience with general
medical-surgical diagnoses and oncology patients. Daily
nurse-patient ratios are targeted at 1:6. Floating to similar units
may be required in accordance with census needs. The nurse will
administer medications, including blood products and chemotherapy.
Wound care and management of surgical drains are essential
responsibilities. Additional duties include monitoring vital signs
and assisting with non-invasive airway management. Weekend shifts
are scheduled every other week. The nurse will be part of an
interdisciplinary team, collaborating with various support
services. Candidates must be comfortable working during high-demand
periods, including emergency situations. Attendance at monthly
staff meetings is expected. The nursing team aims to provide
