registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years Stepdown RN
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available
for a registered nurse with stepdown (PCU) experience to provide
exceptional patient care in a supportive and dynamic hospital
environment. This contract position is located in Newton, NC,
offering a chance to work across several nearby facilities within
the region as needed, making it ideal for those open to floating
assignments within their scope of practice. Location: Newton, North

work. Qualifications & Desired Experience: - Minimum of 18 months
of experience as a PCU RN - Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
certifications - Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation,
management of tracheostomies, chest tubes, cardiac drips, and
central lines - Experience with blood products administration,
wound care, and dressing changes - Ability to work with complex
patient diagnoses such as CHF, dysrhythmias, stroke, respiratory
illness, diabetes, and more - Comfortable with telemetry monitoring
and EMR systems, specifically EPIC Responsibilities: - Provide
direct patient care in a stepdown unit with typical
nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 - Collaborate effectively with a
multidisciplinary team including CNAs, respiratory therapists,
hospitalists, and intensivists - Float within the regional network
of medical facilities as required - Participate in weekend
rotations every other week and cover 75% of holidays worked -
Adhere to facility policies including wearing designated scrub
colors and utilizing free parking Additional Information: -
Schedule cycles rotate every six weeks with no on-call duties -
Orientation spans two days focused on departmental and facility
