Center Brand new ED completed in 2020 ED Volume: 60,000 EMR: Epic
65 care spaces, including many medical treatment rooms, locked
behavioral health unit, super track, ambulatory patient care area,
2 state-of-the-art trauma resuscitation bays, etc. Brand new
SonoSite US and new video laryngoscopy/fiber optic airway equipment
Double physician coverage for the majority of the day Advanced
practice providers (APPs) staff Provider in Triage during high
volume periods Flexible documentation system using templates and
voice recognition Emergency physicians do not write admitting
orders; internal medicine, intensive care, pediatric, general
surgery, and orthopedic hospitalists perform almost all admissions
Excellent ACLS-certified nursing staff 350-bed community hospital
situated in mid-sized town on the Eastern seaboard Medical staff of
230 representing most major specialties Other USACS services
