Nurse Practitioner | Surgery - Neurosurgery Location: Greenville, NC Employer: HPA Healthcare Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 2 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Position Overview One of our Partners in Eastern North Carolina is seeking Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants for ongoing inpatient coverage at a Level I Trauma Center. This is a high-acuity, team-based neurosurgical environment with strong physician collaboration, defined shift structure, and consistent volume. Providers will join an established service with 24/7 support , clear responsibilities, and the opportunity to work alongside experienced neurosurgeons in a tertiary care setting. Provider Pay Rate: $110/hour Assignment Highlights Level I Trauma Center with complex neurosurgical case mix Established team: 9 Neurosurgeons 9 APPs 24/7 inpatient support — no solo coverage Flexible scheduling: Days or Nights available Optional OR First Assist exposure (not required) Predictable 12-hour shifts Orientation day prior to first shift HPA Healthcare is a Joint Commission–certified agency Prepaid travel and lodging Malpractice insurance covered Job Responsibilities Inpatient neurosurgery coverage Admissions, consults, and daily rounding Collaboration with neurosurgeons and ICU teams Care coordination and discharge planning Limited nighttime discharges as needed Optional OR first assist EMR documentation Skills & Experience Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Active North Carolina license (or quick eligibility) Neurosurgery, ICU, or high-acuity inpatient experience preferred BLS & ACLS (AHA required) Comfortable in Level I Trauma setting
