Providing exceptional customer service and handling food in a safe manner. Effectively communicating with customers and providing recommendations on food pairings, portions, and ingredients. Preparing, slicing, wrapping, weighing, and pricing the deli products. Setting up and maintaining attractive deli displays and ensuring proper inventory and freshness of products. Following all food safety guidelines and maintaining the cleanliness of the deli counter and backroom areas. Collaborating with team members and participating in store events as required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of food handling techniques and sanitation standards Physical stamina to stand for extended periods Basic math and weight measurement skills Ability to follow recipes and food preparation instructions Food Handler's certificate (preferred but not required; may be obtained after hiring) Customer service certification (a plus)
