A Payroll Administrator position is open at Robert Half. The
Payroll Administrator will process payroll, and should have
proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. This dynamic work

Carolina, the Payroll Administrator position is a contract to hire
opportunity.
Major responsibilities
- Produce reports after compiling summaries of earnings, taxes,
deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
- Manage other tasks as assigned
- Draft relevant year-end reports, as well as weekly, monthly, and
quarterly ones, for department heads
- Maintaining employee confidence and protecting payroll operations
by keeping information confidential
- Facilitate company compliance according to federal and state
regulations and guidelines
- Calculate employer social security, unemployment, and worker
compensation payments and employee federal and state income and
social security taxes to determine payroll liabilities
- Exercise review and verification of source documents
- Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and
procedures; reporting needed changes
- Enter changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings
deductions, and job title and department/division transfers as part
of managing payroll records
- Proper payroll information maintenance by collecting,
calculating, and entering data
- Manage payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing
information
- Reconciling of employee deductions and other liabilities
- Handle all payroll information questions and requests
- Help payroll manage all internal and external audits
Requirements - Expertise in federal and state payroll regulations
and requirements
- Previous experience using accounting software
- Top notch analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Understanding of internal controls
- Strong familiarity with Full Cycle Payroll
- Automated Payroll experience
- bi-Monthly Payroll experience required
- Paylocity experience preferred
- Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred
- Proficient with high volume multi-state payroll, billing,
licensing, AP, etc.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and solid financial
acumen
- Command of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
- Excellent data entry skills
- 2+ years of strong payroll experience
