Job Description:

Manufacturing Applications Engineer Raleigh, NC, 27606 12Month Contract 8 am- 5 pm (Mon-Fri) Overview: This position supports sales, provides technical expertise, and demonstrates 3D printing technologies to customers. Responsibilities include managing and maintaining 3D printers and scanners at the Client Center for Additive Manufacturing (RCAM), optimizing additive manufacturing processes, and driving innovation. The role combines project, process, and design engineering functions. Responsibilities: Collaborate with customers to create and optimize CAD models for additive manufacturing, including material selection and manufacturability. Develop and refine AM processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality at RCAM and All-In 3D Print MS sites. Execute daily operations of 3D printing systems and participate in production planning and quality assurance. Lead cross-functional teams on AM-related projects. Provide technical support and training to customers and production staff. Research new materials and technologies to support innovation and operational excellence. Conduct testing and quality checks to ensure manufactured components meet standards. Safeguard confidential and proprietary information and interact professionally with internal and external contacts. Provide accurate, courteous, and professional service to all customers. Generate ad hoc reports and data analysis for internal and regional management using tools like OMD, Oracle, and PC-based systems. Identify and develop benchmarks for performance comparisons. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor s degree in engineering, materials science, or related field preferred. 3 5 years of experience in design for additive manufacturing or a related 3D printing field. Background in 3D printing operations and analytics required. Proficient in 3D CAD software and additive manufacturing technologies. Strong project management and communication skills. Team-oriented with a passion for staying current on AM trends and applications. Ability to analyze and report performance data using varied data sources. Ability to work in a lab environment with light physical activity (e.g., lifting under 20 lbs, standing, walking, using hand tools). Metasys Technologies is an equal opportunity employer.
