possible.Job DescriptionThis role is responsible for equipment
maintenance and reliability throughout the plant and will
supervise, coordinate, and prioritize routine, planned, unplanned,
preventative, and predictive maintenance work, plan regular
audits/inspections, and ensure tasks are completed in a safe and
timely manner in order to minimize downtime and support plant
objectives. The maintenance supervisor will also oversee building
maintenance and reliability and will maintain all relevant plant
systems including, but not limited to, electrical, plumbing,
carpentry, landscaping/irrigation, HVAC, and general building
construction and improvementsPrimary Duties:Conduct daily shift
start-up meetings discussing safety issues and the expected
workload and Ensure equipment start-up readiness for
productionImplement TPM program that supports operations and
business objectivesConduct root cause analysis of downtime issues
to prevent recurrence (4D process)Reduces MTTO (occurrence
restoration), increases MTBO (between occurrences)Lead skilled
trades/maintenance personnel to evaluate requirements for
maintaining and improving production yields, throughput, and up
time and maximize use of planned outagesEnsure all team member
usage of AMMS to document all maintenance activities (crisis and
planned) as well as interface and provide input to maintenance
planning activities.Execute prioritized daily maintenance tasks
(predictive, preventive and crisis maintenance)Analyze equipment
performance and work to improve efficiencies; actively participate
in Constraint Review ProcessMaintain strict adherence to company
and safety policies/procedures. Participate in safety meetings and
performs Job Hazard Analysis.Perform Incident Investigations as
needed to maintain a safe work environment & ensure that all
machinery is safe & working optimally.Responsible for equipment
advanced trouble shooting and repair and supporting the team's
efforts to do so.Maintain and repair production equipment.
Including, but not limited to process equipment, piping systems,
electrical, pneumatic, and fluid power systems, cutting, heating,
and all types of welding, etc.Works with Purchasing, Maintenance,
Engineering, and Physical Distribution in maintaining services for
the plant.Communicate, motivate, supervise, counsel, develop, and
discipline all direct reports when necessary.Act as an advocate for
team members to improve their skill sets, working conditions, and
train team members as needed.Maintain a critical spare parts list
to minimize down time for future machine
failures.QualificationsQualifications Required:Excellent
organization, written and oral communication skills - Must be
fluent in spoken and written English.Must be able to attend
advanced equipment training at manufacturer or other plant.7 years
of previous maintenance and/or skilled trades experience required
including 5 trouble shooting and repairing electrical, pneumatic,
and PLC controlled equipment.2 or more years' experience as a
working lead, lead or senior operator/technician, or
supervisorAbility to communicate, resolve conflict, think
critically, inspire accountability, & maintain high levels of
quality in complex working environmentMust have an advanced
understanding of mechanical and electrical systems including
fabrication, and machine programming and PLC.Ability to read,
follow and understand electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and
pneumatic drawings, blueprints, schematics, code requirements,
service manuals and manufacturers' specifications.Must have the
ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to ensure minimum
interruption to production.Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing
environment.Flexible work schedule, ability to work any shift and
overtime as required including weekends and rotating
shiftsExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with
various levels of employees within all areas of the Plant from
hourly employees to Senior Leadership as requiredGoal oriented
self-starter with ability to effectively lead, train, & develop
teamsQualifications Desired:Bi-lingual (English and Spanish).Basic
computer aided drawing (CAD) software knowledge or the ability to
create technical drawings. IT knowledge is a plus. Proficient use
of Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint &
Outlook)Technical qualification in an engineering discipline 2-year
Technical of vocational degree or certification (Includes
Journeyman's or skilled labor accreditation)
