This position is located at Edgecombe Youth Development Center

in Rocky Mounty, NC (Edgecombe County)

Salary Grade - ED20 Recruitment Range - $42,000.00 - $69,888.00

Salary is based on the NC Teaching Salary Schedule plus a 6% supplement.

Schedule will be 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday

This position provides students with direct instruction in Math utilizing the Common Core State Standards and NC Essential Skills. Prepares lesson plans, instructional materials, and maintains student progress reports. Teacher will utilize data to inform all instructional activities based on NC Standards, implement IEP modifications, and be responsible for keeping all student records. This position serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team in order to plan for student services and treatment.

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE A CURRENT TEACHING LICENSE IN NORTH CAROLINA OR IN A STATE THAT HAS A RECIPROCAL AGREEMENT WITH NORTH CAROLINA.

Candidate must have a valid driver's license. A Criminal Background Check and related testing will be conducted.

The salary grade for this position is ED20. State employees are encouraged to apply for positions of interest even if the salary grade is the same as, or lower than, their current position. If selected for this position, a new salary will be recalculated taking into consideration the quantity of relevant education and experience, funding availability, and internal equity. Based upon these factors, a pay increase MAY result.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Highly qualified valid "A" or "M" NC teaching license in either middle or high school math subjects. Experience in using technology and internet resources in instruction.
