Job Description Vidant Health About Vidant North Hospital Vidant North Hospital is a Joint Commission-accredited, 204-bed acute bed facility where residents of Halifax, Northampton and Warren counties in North Carolina and Mecklenburg, Brunswick and Greensville in Virginia receive a wide range of health services close to home. Vidant North Hospital's team of more than 60 providers and 850 employees represent most medical specialties. In addition to 24-hour emergency care, we also offer intensive care, medical, surgical, orthopedic, behavioral health, rehabilitation and therapy services; a cardiac catheterization lab; and outpatient clinics. Our partnership with Vidant Health connects the communities we serve with broader access to various levels of care, enabling us to further customize treatment based on a patient's unique needs. Position Summary

  • Delivers care to the patient prior to, during, and immediately following the HBO treatment
  • Will also assist in dressing and treatment of wounds when necessary
  • Maintains the integrity of the equipment by keeping up to date with service
  • Will also clean the machine prior to and after each patient
  • Collaborates effectively with customers and their families, keeping them up to date on what is being done. Also collaborates with other staff members and physicians within the facility
  • Keeps track of necessary inventory and orders more product when necessary Minimum Requirements
    • High School plus 1 year but less than 2 years of formal training or education
    • Specify: LPN or RT
    • Hyperbaric Technologist certificate is required. Current license or certification is required in one of the following areas: 1) National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, 2) Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician, 3) Respiratory Therapy Technician, 4) Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN), 5) Registered Nurse, 6) Emergency Medical Technician, 7) Certified Hyperbaric Technologist Related Work Experience
      • More than 1 year but less than 2 years
      • Nursing Home
      • Wound Care Center/Wound Healing Center
