Job Summary: The primary role for this position is to oversee the movement of product, storage of and shipping operations in the Warehouse. Use of good housekeeping practices will be required to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe operational area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Responsible for transportation of product from production area to racking locations in the warehouse. * Responsible for keeping the material staged and ready for HVP (High Value Product) operations prior to shift start up. * Run SAP reports to identify the assigned storage bins of the material. * Ensure that material is scanned to appropriate storage bins in the warehouse. * Keep equipment and the warehouse in a clean and orderly condition. * Follow the 5S methodology for audits. Identify and repair any damaged pallets, boxes, labels and bin locations. * Responsible to provide backup support to cycle count operations. * Responsible to provide backup support for reprocess work and items in the quarantine area. * Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions, and all safety rules. * Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor based on the business needs. Education and Experience: * Knowledge of manufacturing practices is a plus * Current forklift certification or able to obtain license within 30 days of employment * Must pass pre-employment testing which may include the following: vocabulary comprehension, math and basic mechanics * Minimum 2-3 years of manufacturing experience, material handling operations preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description * Computer literate * Able to comply with the company's safety policy at all times * Willing and able to work as a team member and make general decisions within authorized responsibility * cGMP knowledge * Self-motivated and solution-oriented personality * Good communication and interpersonal skills * Good organizational skills * Eager to fully understand and take ownership of specified process area * Ability/courage to successfully communicate with any required parties Physical and Travel Requirements * * While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly stands, walks, talks, and hears * The employee continuously is required to use hands to handle, feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl * Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis * Required to watch and listen for alarms (colored lights) on manufacturing equipment * Regular full-time employee works 40 hours a week, some overtime may be required * While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts * Must be able to tolerate industrial odors and smells on a frequent basis * Must be able to work in employer-issued scrubs including hair net, face cover, safety glasses/goggles, etc. for 8 hours * Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud, hearing protection is required in most production areas * Must follow and comply with Plant's Dress and Hygiene Code (SOI) * Must follow and comply with all Company and Plant policies, procedure (SOIs), rules and State and Federal laws West is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
