a few. Job Summary The position of Construction Manager is open
within our corporate operations division. The ideal candidate is an
energetic, positive-thinking and motivated individual with high
quality standards and an appropriate skill set. This role reports
directly to the Company President. The Construction Manager's
responsibility is to manage all functions of the job site as it
relates to home construction while providing excellent customer
service. The Construction Manager manages the construction from
permit to closing by scheduling and supervising job site
subcontractors, homeowner walk-throughs, and inspections while
maintaining company construction and safety standards The
compensation range for this position is commensurate with
experience. Job Responsibilities
- Plans and direct construction activities on the building
site
- Schedules all involved subcontractors for each phase of
development and construction
- Completes each project on schedule from planning through
occupancy, ensuring all contract obligations are satisfied
- Approves work being performed by subcontractors and handles any
related issues
- Authorizes payment of subcontractors upon thorough inspection
of work
- Maintains a safe work site by implementing safety requirements
and good housekeeping regulations, enforcing safe work habits,
observing OSHA requirements and any state-level agencies'
regulations
- Maintains compliance with all applicable building codes
- Verifies all checklists are completed and inspections are
scheduled and passed
- Conducts homeowner orientation and any re-walks ensuring
homeowner satisfaction
- Recognizes and enforces quality standards through daily
inspections
- Monitors cleanliness and holds subcontractors responsible for
daily clean-up
- Schedules and manages subcontractors to make designated
repairs
- Follows up with homeowners to ensure concerns are addressed in
a timely and professional manner
- Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to
serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the
company
- Ability to work additional hours as necessary to meet business
needs
- Develops and maintains good rapport with subcontractors,
homeowner, city officials and inspectors
- Enforces uniformity on construction methods to ensure

Requirements:
Physical Requirements
- Perform physical activity such as lifting, stooping, kneeling,
balancing, pushing, pulling, crouching, and reaching
- Perform light to very heavy work exerting from 20 pounds of
force to 100 pounds of force to move objects
- Subject to outdoor inclement weather conditions (heat, cold,
rain, wind)
- Subject to periods of loud noise levels
- Subject to hazards including machinery typical to a
construction site.

- Subject to atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, dusts,
mists, gases, and poor ventilation
- May be subject to use of a mask/respirator
- Subject to repetitive motions Education/Experience/Skills
- Associate's degree in construction or related field or
equivalent experience.
- 2-5 years' experience including supervisory experience.
- Superior judgement and problem solving skills
- Ability to understand customer concerns and provide the
appropriate response
- Strong knowledge of home construction practices
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Effectively communicates with co-workers and management
- Detail and safety oriented
- Self-motivated
