Job Description:
Job Description The Assembly/Disassembly technician worker is
responsible for the assembly, disassembly, organization of parts,
shipment preps, and cleaning of aircraft assemblies and
subassemblies. The assembly/disassembly technician works under the
direct supervision of department leads, and the department
supervisor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Primary
responsibility is to disassemble assemblies and subassemblies and
clean them to prepare them for subsequent inspection and finish
work. Ordering of aircraft parts. Ability to read instructions such
as work orders, maintenance manuals, and drawings. Responsible for
reading and understanding work orders and asking department lead
for help when necessary. Capable of using hand assembly and test
tools and other precision measuring equipment Must be able to wear
a respirator while performing work. Flexible to changing tasks and
workload Strong mechanical aptitude Ensure accurate and timely
completion of work orders Ability to perform routine and
non-routine tasks independently Adheres to all Fly Exclusive safety
guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment and
proper procedures of materials handling. Maintains safe and clean
work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and
regulations. Contributes to the team environment by accomplishing
designated tasks and can work closely with others in an assembly
line environment. Comply with FAA and company policies and
procedures Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Requirements Education and Experience: Entry level acceptable
mechanical aptitude and preferred at least one year of
manufacturing experience. High School Diploma or GED required.
Aviation experience preferred but not required. Ability to read and
interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals. The ability to read
measurements, work or calculate numbers, use handheld tools,
including but not limited to handheld pallet jacks, pneumatic
staple guns, and power drills required. Ability to work with others
in a positive and productive manner. Ability to read and interpret
drawings. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of
part ordering preferred not required. The ability to lift, bend,
push, pull, and move materials up to 50 lbs. The ability to stand
or walk an entire shift (can be 8-12 hours) Must be 18 years of age
