HYG designs, engineers, manufactures, sells and services a comprehensive line of lift trucks and aftermarket parts marketed globally under the Hyster and Yale brand names. HYG is looking for an energetic individual who will have a positive influence on the Big Trucks, America's team. Temporary Sales Coordinator, Big Trucks function is a critical part of the Big Truck organization, ensuring that orders are correct and "clean". Appropriately communicating with the factory in Nijmegen, dealers (NAM and LAM), Global Account Sales, logistics, credit, pricing, outside suppliers and internal BT staff to support the rest of the order and delivery process is required. This role will provide solutions to dealers, customers, factory and internal sales staff related to delivery issues; order change requests; expediting; pricing questions; SPED issues, etc. Big Trucks are high value, low volume, complex, contain high SPED content and frequently require a lot of special handling. A high number of trucks are sold through Global Accounts and Direct Sales. The order, delivery and invoicing process from start to finish can be complicated and small errors can be very expensive and damaging.

The Temporary Sales Coordinator, Big Trucks Will Provide the Following Key Accountabilities:


  • Support the Dealer sales team in executing sales operations and earning customer business:
  • Lead time quotes
  • Review all orders; resolve any order issues with dealer or factory.
  • Process dealer-requested order changes (which require approval from the factory); and factory-requested order changes (requires approval from dealer)
  • Dealer stock order lock-up dates
  • Help resolve dealer credit issues as necessary
  • Monitor and support contact management incidents related to big trucks
  • Coordinate & communicate logistics
  • Assist dealers in ordering trucks from the Global SDF (Sales Development Fleet) list. Re-order when trucks are sold. This requires extensive amount of order changes.
  • Support the Direct Sales and Global Accounts teams in executing sales operations and earning customer business:
  • Assist in the finalization of RFQs
  • Track product availability and ensure clarity with sales teams
  • Manage orders to the "clean order" process developed for Big Truck direct sales. This requires the PO is received, all pricing is finalized, SPR(s) approved, SPED quotes are current, truck specs are final and logistics plan is understood.
  • Coordinate order attachments or other 3rd party items needed to fulfill the order.
  • Help resolve customer credit issues as necessary
  • Monitor and support contact management incidents related to big trucks
  • Coordinate & communicate logistics
  • Assist sales team in ordering trucks from the Global SDF (Sales Development Fleet) list. Re-order when trucks are sold. This requires extensive amount of order changes.
  • Help drive an effective sale process, and support the back-office functions necessary to operate our business:
  • Support the order / quoting process for Salesforce.com Opportunities.
  • Ensure the all Opportunities are effectively managed to the right disposition.
  • Support target account data entry and account development plan management in Salesforce.com.
  • Working closely with IT and pricing departments to ensure accuracy of NOVO
  • Maintain information on MHC.com
  • Provide order process training to dealer order coordinators
  • Administer the Global SDF (Sales Development Fleet) list. Maintain and communicate truck list for all theaters; re-order when trucks are sold.
  • Work with Solutions team to maintain and build NOVO descriptions and price lists. This is a significant task for each new product release.
  • Coordinate and review all HYG orders for Nijmegen trucks
  • Reviewing credit holds for slotting/shipping
  • Interaction with Logistics to ensure vessel availability / pre-bookings
  • Provide data / assist Logistics Manager for Ro-Ro Steamship line negotiations


    The Successful Temporary Sales Coordinator, Big Trucks Must Meet the Following Minimum Qualifications:


    • BS degree preferred
    • 2 year degree with 5+ year's exp.
    • 7-10 years exp. with no degree
    • Hyster Big and Jumbo truck product knowledge
    • Nijmegen plant order management, logistics and manufacturing processes
    • Understanding of NOVO, Salesforce.com
    • English Required; Bi Lingual Capability - Spanish or Portuguese, desired
    • Excellent Computer Skills (MS Office Suite - particularly Excel)
    • Excellent Written, Verbal and Oral Communication
