Radiation Therapist Location: North Myrtle Beach, SC Agency: Ambition 24Hours Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 7 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Medical Physicist Location: North Myrtle Beach / Little River, South Carolina, USA Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Shifts: 1 shift per day Shift Schedule: Monday Friday (standard business hours, may include occasional on-call or evening duties as needed) Job Summary: Seeking a qualified Medical Physicist to join a growing radiation oncology team. The role involves maintaining high-quality radiation therapy delivery, supporting treatment planning, performing quality assurance, ensuring radiation safety, and participating in department technology improvements. The candidate will collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, therapists, and the wider oncology team to ensure optimal patient care and compliance with professional standards. Responsibilities: Maintain professional image and excellent patient, visitor, physician, and co-worker interactions in line with service standards. Deliver high-quality radiation therapy through linear accelerator quality assurance, treatment planning, brachytherapy, and consultation according to AAPM standards. Provide technical expertise for adoption of new technology and process improvements in physics and dosimetry support. Maintain calibration and quality assurance for all radiation devices following accepted protocols. Oversee treatment planning physics, radiation safety, and regulatory compliance. Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to facilitate teamwork and cooperation within the radiation oncology team. Conduct weekly patient treatment record reviews and annual equipment QA tests. Maintain ACR accreditation compliance. Demonstrate proficiency in current treatment planning techniques and complex dose computations. Qualifications / Requirements: American Board of Radiology (ABR) Certification required; ABR Part 3 Physicist preferred. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in radiation therapy physics or clinical medical physics. Strong knowledge of quality assurance (QA) procedures, linear accelerator QA, and brachytherapy. No gaps in education or employment; stable career progression preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
