Job Description:
A manufacturing company is seeking a Biomedical Engineering
Manager to join their team near Farmville, NC. This position is
responsible for spearheading the development and operationalization
of the company’s new facility from its Greenfield phase to full
start-up and commissioning. A bachelor's degree or higher in
engineering or a related field, 10 years of engineering experience,
and experience with medical devices is required. This is a
full-time, exempt position with excellent benefits and 401k.
Biomedical Engineering Manager Duties: -Lead the engineering and
maintenance teams from the initial Greenfield phase through to the
facility's full operational status. -Oversee the design transfer of
processes and equipment from our Japanese plants, adapting and
optimizing them for the new site. -Manage all aspects of equipment
and process transfers, including installation, qualification, and
commissioning, to ensure a smooth transition to production. -Direct
all process start-ups, troubleshooting, and optimization efforts to
achieve maximum efficiency and performance. -Develop strategic
plans for the engineering department, including technology
integration, process improvement, and capacity expansion. -Ensure
compliance with international and local engineering standards,
environmental regulations, and safety protocols. -Foster a culture
of continuous improvement, innovation, and high performance within
the engineering and maintenance teams. -Collaborate closely with
other departments and senior management to align engineering
strategies with overall business objectives. Biomedical Engineering
Manager Skills: -Must have a bachelor's degree or higher in
engineering or a related field -Must have 10 years of engineering
experience -Must have experience with medical devices -Ability in
leading large-scale projects, with excellent project management,
organizational, and problem-solving skills.
