As part of a team, you will be surrounded by bright minds and keen co-creators-always willing to help and be helped-as you apply passion to work that will positively impact the world around us.Your role and responsibilitiesThe IBM Technology Expert Labs organization is looking for an IBM Mainframe Solution Architect with expertise in IBM z/OS and Linux on z technology and products.The Solution Architect will collaborate with the client, business partner, and sellers to understand client requirements, and conduct discovery activities to define and create service solutions to address client needs. You will utilize your in-depth knowledge of leading-edge products and technology in conjunction with industry and business skills to influence clients. You are responsible for building a scope with activities and corresponding assumptions and estimating the level of effort. The Solution Architect creates the client-facing proposal content and the detailed work breakdown structure.You will work in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple projects with multiple sellers and clients.Required educationBachelor's DegreePreferred educationMaster's DegreeRequired technical and professional expertise

• 5-10 years of experience with:
• Middleware: Db2, IMS, CICS, MQ, WAS
• oz Application and Platform Software toolsExperience architecting plans for IBM z/OS version upgrades for existing and new IBM Z hardware implementation services, including product migration services for both IBM and third-party ISV software related products.Demonstrated communication skills in a customer-facing environment at all levels of technical, management, and executives.Understanding technical requirements to craft work scopes, work breakdown structures, labor estimates, and manage risk.Preferred technical and professional experience
